Pavé setting is one of the most popular and stunning methods of stone setting in the world. Ben Bentvelzen will take participants through 10 straight days of rigorous specialty pavé setting methods. Participants will be challenged with setting on rounded surfaces, multisided pavé, setting in steel and hard metals, setting in thin materials, and more. This workshop will be split into 6 days of solid instruction and 4 days of a class project combining the skills gained earlier in the week. For an experienced setter looking to get to the next level, this is an opportunity of a lifetime.
Three photos of your work are required with your application. Please have these ready to upload during checkout. After the closing for receipt of applications, all candidates’ photos will be reviewed to remove any names or other identifying marks. Each application portfolio will then be assigned a number known only to GRS management.
Photos will be sent to Ben, who will select twelve attendees based entirely on the work shown in the photos. Three alternates will also be selected to cover possible cancellations. Applications are kept confidential to ensure selections are unbiased. Deposits will be refunded to applicants not chosen for the class.
